Fresh For All Kick-Off

It’s that wonderful time again when Fresh For All is starting up, we are doing our Kick-Off this coming Monday. For those who don’t know or would like a reminder Fresh For All – Grow Fresh Food – Share Fresh Food is a community-wide movement to provide fresh vegetables and fruits to food banks and meal programs within Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. The concept is simple if you’re planting a garden this summer, simply add an extra row or two that can be shared at harvest time. Or if you don’t have a garden but would like to plant some tomatoe plants in a pot or something else that is also welcomed. A lot of families, seniors and individuals in Hastings-Prince Edward counties experience food insecurity and we are still rated one of the highest for food insecurity in Ontario. Everyone is invited to participate in the 2016 Fresh for All campaign please visit freshforall.ca to find out more on how to get involved in your area and where to donate. Please join the “Fresh for All” movement and be sure to tell your friends by sharing on Facebook and Twitter#freshforall. Yours will be the most important garden in the world to every family it reaches….please call me if you have any questions Linda 613-399-1450, thank you for helping us, help others in our community!
