Thank you to the vendors of the June 30, Canada 150 Royal Tour who donated their rental fees of $1000 from the day to the foodbank as a meaningful gift to benefit our community. The vendors of the Wellington Farmers’ Market care deeply about our neighbours; and are grateful of the opportunity to make this heartfelt contribution. Louise McFaul Market Ambassador presented the cheque to Linda Downey this past Saturday. Thank you to the Province of Ontario who made a $5000 donation in the names of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall to commemorate their visit to the Wellington Farmer’s Market.

The Foodbank is still in need of a five backpacks for girls ages 13 and up, we also need pencil crayons, markers, erasers and binders to put in them, we have everything else for them, paper, pens, pencils, etc. We have lots of boys backpacks and are not in need of any for boys. If you would like to donate please bring to the foodbank this coming Wednesday we are open from 10-3. or you can leave the backpacks in the bin at Pierson’s Foodland.
