Thank you so much to those who donated suppers for the Wellington’s Community Suppers that are held at St. Andrews Anglican Church once a month. Thank you to all the hard working volunteers for all you do for every meal! We also thank everyone who donated food or funds to the food bank at these meals! Tonight the Community Supper donated $800.00 towards our cause! We thank you all for making a difference in helping others in our community! The Community Suppers are in their 9th year providing opportunities for local people and visitors to connect over a nutritional meal! Thanks to the generosity of neighbouring businesses and the efforts of the volunteers they regularly serve 80-100 people at each supper. Seniors, young families, people who live alone; newcomers and those in need are some of the folks at the suppers, enjoying good food and friendship bringing the community together! Any food not consumed is given to the Storehouse Foodbank as well as donations of non-perishable items. Free-will donations help cover the food costs; and any surplus monies are donated to local charities or community based-programs.
