Thank you so much to the Food To Share Volunteers who made 55 Macaroni and Cheese meals with vegetables today,! Thank you to the Wellington Legion for allowing the use of their kitchen and facility. I was able to deliver all the meals today despite the weather and I have received good comments on how delicious everything was! We can’t thank everyone enough for all you do and for making such a difference in our community!

Thank you so much Michael Hymus and Larry Hudson Chevrolet for your generous donations to the foodbanks in Prince Edward County from the “Eat For Charity” event held at Angry Bird’s. Thanks to you guys we each received $7,000. These funds will be used at the Storehouse Foodbank to purchase meat, dairy products and fresh vegetables and fruit. We also thank our wonderful community for all of the support it’s shown and for making a difference in the lives of others.
Community Dinner
Consecon United Church, Thursday, February 21st, 5-6:30 pm – Meat Load, macaroni and cheese, Caesar salad, dessert and refreshments – All welcome! Pay by donations – proceeds to the foodbank and the church.
Empty Bowls Event
Empty Bowls – Gourmet Soup by Loyalist Culinary Program Chef John Schneedberger & Chef Michael Hoy, Sat. Feb. 23, Loyalist College Cafeteria in Belleville, 11-3 p.m. Standard Bowl – $25, Larger Bowl & Soup $40, price includes a Potters Bowl (while supplies last) and soup, dessert and refreshments. Price for soup, dessert and refreshments without Potters Bowl c is $8. Artisan & Vendar Market, Silent Auction, Quinte Woodcarvers Demonstration. All proceeds go to Quinte Food Share Shelter which includes your local foodbanks and Gleaners Foodbank.
