Important Public Notice

Important Public Notice – when the foodbank was collecting furniture for those in need we picked up and delivered free no charge to our donors or clients! We got out of furniture as it became too hard for us and volunteers became ill – Please note there is a Facebook message on yard sale sights by a girl named Ashley Carroll whom I have never met and in her post she mentions she has partnered with the Wellington Foodbank and mentions my name stating she is helping Dorothy Speirs – I am not involved with this and neither is the Wellington Foodbank! Dorothy approached the foodbank about taking over the furniture donations and deliveries stating she wanted to give back to the community and deliver to families in need as we just couldn’t do it anymore – I told her that was up to her and she took on the challenge but Dorothy told the foodbank it was and her husband doing it – we have given her phone number out to families in need and I have spoken to the families that we referred her name to and they have received the furniture free with no delivery charge! She has picked up donations and never charged the donor a delivery fee! The foodbank has never met Ashley Carroll and didn’t even know she was helping or is helping Dororthy Speirs??? The Foodbank will not be involved with any of this and hasn’t been involved with any of this! If you have any concerns or questions please contact me Linda Downey 613-399-1450 or 613-849-7403- please see the post below that Ashley Carroll has posted on Facebook sights – jerilyncarroll7@gmail.comHello everyone ,I want to make others aware maybe you havent heard of the program and our volunteer services, how we work with ladies at the Wellington Food Bank and members of our Community, helping those in need!! We dont do Food we do FURNITURE & APPLIANCES ,other house hold items dishes , bedding , smaller appliances etc .. This programs run for quite some time now and recently co-ordinated by a Woman named Linda , she helped my friend Dorothy Speirs when she first came to this area years ago furnish her home with items she was lacking ..And roughly 6 months ago, Dorothy was asked if she would take it over ,.of course she jumped on board as well as Myself and our little moving team… We are overwhelmed by the amount of donations that come in and we have literally got furniture piled high everywhere & a storage unit in belleville and a 2 story shop in Milfordand our attic our deck and garage r full.. We get plenty of calls for pick up ..but not enough calls for those in need of furniture.. We have an SUV a trailer and a small TEAM of lifters and loaders .. If you or anyone u know could use a new bed or dresser chairs couch fridge, stove, etc .Please give us a shout either here on Facebook or call 6132421788.. We are always expecting new donations as well .. We’ll find somewhere to stick it.. Because we work with the food bank and this is all run on Donations the items are free .. But we do have to cover the cost of our fuel and storage fee with that being said we ask for a minimum donation of 20-50$ per delivery (depending on number if items or size of the load and distance ) any extra will be greatly appreciated. AND if ur willing and able to pick ur items or drop them off to us BONUS !! We don’t expect anyone to have to pay for these items just help keep a good thing going for a good cause in the Prince Edward and surrounding area.. And hey maybe through word of mouth this idea like will expand and become something every community has to offer ..it all starts with caring and sharing and a few people to volunteer thier time and some unwanted stuff .. Thank you , please feel free to share this post as well as pass this knowledge along to ur friends and neighbors , maybe u know someone who is recently starting over and in need or a student moving out on thier own , someone who’s been a victim of a fire or water damage or maybe you’ve just got some damaged goods and in need of some used gently good quality furnishing .. Or you or someone u know has got some items in thier Garage or Den , stored up in the attic or taking up too much space , maybe u got a new washer and dryer or t.v and living room set and unsure what you wanna do with the old stuff ..Well look no further,.we are here to help.. Give us a call , please keep in mind we do not except trash or items that are broken or stained and dirty .. If u wouldnt put it in ur home or thinks it’s good for the curb then that’s where it should go. We want people to be happy and comfortable with the items we bring them and leave feeling they are satisfied with what we’ve delivered.. Again thank you ..and please SHARE SHARE SHARE as I stated in the beginning we are overwhelmed in STUFF n eager to make some drops .
