The kids made crepes tonight in their cooking class and so did the adults in their afternoon class! Lots of happy faces as the kids shared a meal together and ate their own creations! Thankyou to volunteers Anne, Jennifer, Nina, Dorothy and Toni for all your help in ensuring the classes run smoothly! I’m so thrilled on how well these classes are going. I myself enjoy helping and seeing how eager these kids are in wanting to learn to cook is so encouraging! Their enthusiasm helps us to see that kids cooking classes are something kids want!Thank You!

With Grateful Hearts We Say Thank you! Today we raised $4354.25 at the Rockn Rogers Customer Appreciation Day Snowsuit Fundraiser! Thank you to the District Women’s Institute who gave us a cheque for $1118. Thank you to all the Silent Auction donors because of your donations $1530 was raised in the Silent Auction. The rest of the funds that came in today was from donations from those who attended the event. We want to thank The Reasons, Tefri from Midnight DJ, PEC Fire Station 7 Public Education, Fantashe Face & Body Art, Mr. Barzinga’s Balloon Twisting, Airbrush Tattoo, Pierson’s Foodland who sponsored the Root Beer Drinking Contest, East Lake Bikes, Roger Stanley for sponsoring our radio ad on 99.3 County FM. Thank you to The Legionauts and Dave & Jill Akey who paid for the arena and the Arena Staff who ensured everything was ready for us. Thank you to Rockn’ Rogers and Staff for all you do for this community! Thank you to the Foodbank volunteers and other volunteers who came out to make this event possible.Thank you to Stephanie Solowoski County Real Estate for sponsoring the cost for the Face Painter and prizes for the colouring contest. Thank you to Amanda Pascoe, for her donations to the colouring contest and the colouring basket. A Big Thank you to all of you who came out to support the Snowsuit Fundraiser and Rockn’ Rogers Customer Appreciation Day and for donating towards our cause! You have helped us make a difference in our community ensuring children will stay warm this winter because of your generosity.
