We are proud participates of the After the Bell Program again this year. After the Bell supports foodbanks to provide kids who are experiencing hunger with increased access to much needed nutritious food during summer when the need is higher due to many school centred support programs not being available. Each week we add fruit and vegetables to each healthy food pack. This week August 3 we added an Apple, orange, cherry tomatoes, pepper and cheese string. Food Banks Canada is the driver of this program and we are one of the chosen recipients. We are very grateful to be able to offer this wonderful program to our clients during these difficult times. After the Bell is generously supported by fresh partners please see banner for all partners.
Back to School! The foodbank is in need of back to school supplies, backpacks, lunch pails, pencil cases, binders, paper, crayons, pencils, etc. If you can help please drop off at the foodbank on Wednesdays between 9-3 at the side door, 304 Nile’s Street at the Pentecostal Church or Wellington Home Hardware on Main Street. Thank you in advance for making a difference to the children in your communities!
