Community Dinner

Consecon United Church Community Dinner, Thursday, June 20, 5-7 p.m. A summery cold plate of ham and a variety of salads and dessert. Free will offering with donations going to The Storehouse Foodbank and the church. All Welcome!

Thank you Food To Share for making 51 Meals on May 28th – Chicken Breasts in cream lemon sauce with roasted beets and asparagus with a lemon dill dressing. Thank you to all the volunteers and to Paul Denison for being the lead! Thank you to Becky and Brian McFaul for delivering all the meals for the foodbank! We appreciate everyone’s help and for making a difference in our community!

Last Cooking Class

May 28th was the last class of the 8 week Adult Cooking Classes, they made scones! We will miss this great bunch of students, we had a lot of fun and learned so much thanks to Robyn Cakebread@nourishedself! Thank you so much Prince Edward Learning Centre for partnering with the foodbank. Thank you to Jen, Lori and Toni for helping out with the classes and making sure things ran smoothly! Thank you Robyn for teaching the classes and sharing your expertise! Thank you to the Huff Family Fund, The County Foundation and Prince Edward County for making all this possible! And I want to thank the staff at the arena for all your help in ensuring everything was ready for each class! Also thank you to the Wellington Legion for lending us some stools and the Wellington Home Hardware for helping with cooking appliances, utensils and etc. We really appreciate everyone involved and helping make a difference to others in our communities!

Thank you so much to the Country Church Players who raised $1400 for the Storehouse Foodbank from their Melodies of Broadway performances. Thank you to everyone who came to the performances in support of their fundraiser. We can’t thank you enough for the difference you are making to others in our communities!
