The deadline has passed this year for sponsoring a child for a Christmas gift.

Christmas Angel Trees were hosted at the Wellington Legion and Cascades Pub and Grill in Consecon.

Community supporters took angels off the tree where it had child’s first name, sex and gift idea on the angel.

The gifts had to be returned by Friday, Dec. 11 so everything could be organized and ready to go for pick-ups and deliveries on December 16, please and thank you.

Picked 8 big baskets of apples in South Bay yesterday for the foodbank’s Thanksgiving hampers, thank you so much Tom and Deelia Evans for donating the apples, and also a big thank to Ev McTaggart for letting us pick apples for the foodbank for the last few weeks and for donating more for the Thanksgiving Hampers. Thank you to Deb & Bob Stock, Bonnie, Toni and Jim’s mom for all your help in picking! Also a big thank you to all those who have been donating to our Fresh For All campaign, the produce that you all have donated is so much appreciated, it’s so nice to be able to give our clients fresh fruit and vegetables! We couldn’t do it without you, please know we are very grateful!

Thank you to Todd Bennett of WooDoggy for the donation of his delicious Louisiana style Jambalaya and Caroline Granger from the Grange of Prince Edward Vineyards & Estate Winery for letting us use the facilities at the winery. Also thank you to Rosemary, Christine, Jodie and Jan and the staff from the winery for their time in volunteering to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thankyou to Station Road for their entertainment which was amazing and made the atmosphere of our fundraiser very exciting. And of course a big thank you to all who came out and supported our fundraiser which raised $450.60 after expenses. Thank you for helping us, help others in our community!
