The Wellington Storehouse Food Bank is proud to take part in
Food Banks Canada’s #AftertheBellProgram. This vital initiative provides nutritious, kid-friendly food packs to children experiencing food insecurity across the country, particularly during the summer months when school meal programs aren’t available. These packs come to us carefully assembled with shelf stable staples like hummus, milk, crackers, oatmeal, granola bars, etc. This week August 24 we gave out an apple, plum, mini peppers, Kashi bar, cherry tomatoes, mini cucumber and cheese string. This summer, we will be distributing 280 After the Bell packs and give kids the chance to make the most of their summer break.

Hip hip hooray! We have all the filler to stuff our backpacks, thanks to @county.life Real Estate! Once again @countyfranks and @raymacd have stepped up to make sure all or backpacks go out loaded with new school supplies.
