October, grade 7/8 class lead the school into celebrating the Spirit of Giving at Sophiasburgh Central School by taking part in Socktober. Socktober was originally created by Kid President with a simple message of helping our neighbours in need. They collected over 600 new and knitted socks that we are shared with a couple of agencies in our local community. Thank you so much for making a difference to others in our area.

If you live in the Consecon, Carrying Place or Hillier area and would like to purchase a child from your community a Christmas Gift from the Angel Tree please contact April from the Consecon Legion at 613-965-6251. April will give you the Angel tag that will tell you the first name, age, sex and some gift ideas. Please purchase the child a gift and bring the gift back to April by December 9th. Please make sure the tag is attached to the gift when you return it so we know who it belongs to. If you would like an income tax receipt for the gift you purchased please contact Linda at 613-849-7403 for the details. Thank you for making a difference this Christmas Season.
