First supper of the 2021 Harvest Season! 40 meals on Thursday 3rd June. Baguettes from Hillier’s @connell_jeff, cold tomato soup with jalapeños, cucumber, basil and coriander, sausage with peppers and onions, creamy polenta with garlicky rapini. From our perch at the @clossonchasevineyards Ridge kitchen, we are thrilled to be (safely following CoVid protocols) making twice weekly suppers in appreciation for seasonal agriculture workers in the Hillier and Wellington area.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the Foodbank this past year! It’s been a tough and different year for so many clients and our volunteer staff have been stretched numerous times just trying to adjust to all the changes we have faced. We have seen over and over your support and your generosity to help others and we can’t thank you enough! It has encouraged us as volunteers to see the support and to know we are not alone in this fight against hunger! We all personally have faced our own anxieties with Covid, but just knowing that we are not alone in this battle has helped us as volunteers to keep going. Please know we appreciate each and everyone of you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us, help others!
