Produce Boxes

  This is what our clients received in their produce box today. Potatoes, onions, lettuce, cucumber, green onions, cauliflower, radishes, tomatoes, celery, aspargus bananas, oranges and strawberries. Thank you to Doug Schofield for donating the aspargus. Thank you to Lakeshore Farms for picking the strawberries for us today! These fresh produce boxes are part of the Good Food Access Fund, we are grateful to the Government of Canada and Community Food Centres Canada for providing essential funding to help us offer emergency food relief in our community. We Need Yarn

  If anyone out there has any extra yarn they aren’t using please donate to the foodbank, we have lots of knitters that are busy making hats, mittens, scarves, slippers, baby blankets and other items for our clients for the winter months. We would appreciate your help! Please drop off at the foodbank, 305 Niles Street, at the Wellington Pentecostal Church on Wednesday’s between 9-3 or you can leave them in one of our bins on Main Street at Rockn Rogers Restaurant the bin is right inside their door, Wellington Home Hardware or Pierson’s Foodland.

  Thank you so much to Susan Little of Saylor House Cafe and B&B in Bloomfield who made some delicious Chili and rhubarb muffins for the Seniors at the Legion Manor. The seniors will receive all of the chili and muffins on Friday with the meals prepared by Chef Michael Hoy. We thankyou for making a difference to others in our community.
