Here's the latest updates from StoreHouse Foodbank

From left to right – Linda Downey foodbank President, Dave Shepherd (president of Consecon Legion and band member), Councillor Sam Grosso (owner of Sam’s place where this event happened), and band members Faye Forma, Tom De Rosa and Denis Boyer. Missing band members: Alan MacPherson and Victor Coelho.

It all started when the Barn Bandits were asked to play at Sam’s Place on Sunday, July 26th. What happened next was one fabulous evening of music, dancing, friendship and community spirit!

Together, an incredible $1,680.00 was raised, with the money being split equally between the Wellington Food Bank and Picton Food Bank. 🙌

A huge thank you to Councillor Sam Grosso for bringing everyone together and creating such a wonderful event, and to every single person who came out, danced, donated and supported this great cause. #thebarnbandits #conseconlegion

We are proud participates of the After the Bell program. After the Bell support foodbanks to provide kids who are experiencing hunger with increased access to much needed nutritious food during summer when the need is higher due to many school centred support programs not being available. Each week we add fruit and vegetables to each healthy food pack. This week we added 2 apples, 2 oranges, a yogurt tube and 2 cheese strings. Food Banks Canada is the driver of this program and we one of the chosen recipients. We are very grateful to be able to offer this wonderful program to our clients. After the Bell is generously supported by Fresh Food Partner Subway along with proud sponsors whose funding, products and services make this program possible. #foodbankscanada #fbcafterthebell #letsendchildhunger
