On Monday night the Country Farm Centre Novice Rep Hockey Team came into the Foodbank – Cynthia Riordon Fund Raising Co-ordinator gave them a tour, they made up some food boxes and learned all about the foodbank. Great group of kids! They are also going to do up a Christmas hamper and donate it next week. Thanks everyone for helping others this Christmas season and for making a difference in your community!

Thank you so much to the ladies from the Wellington on the Lake Stocking Fund for all their hard work! They bought each child pajamas and socks for Christmas. Thank you to Picton Giant Tiger for the discount on all the purchases. Thank you to everyone who donated to the Stocking Fund including the WOTL Romeo Club, WOTL Tennis club, WOTL Woodworkers for making this all possible! We can’t thank you enough for making such a difference to the children for Christmas!

Thank you so much to the Consecon United Church for donating all their gifts today to the foodbank. There was lots of gifts, food, mittens and socks from their White Gift Service-A Chinese tradition where all the people gave their king a present wrapped in white paper so that each one would look the same, every family gave what they were able to and the king accepted them all. So the Consecon United Church does this tradition every year to bless their King Jesus as a gift to others in his honour! Thank you everyone for making such a difference to others in your community this holiday season!

Thank you so much to Catherine Langlois from Sandbanks Winery who presented the foodbank with a $2500 cheque today from funds raised from their Wreath Making Workshops. Thank you for making such a difference to others in our communities!

We really enjoyed having these kids for the past 6 weeks, they were so eager to learn and so much fun! Tonight we made gingerbread and sugar cookies as we sang a few Christmas Carols. Rockn Rogers Pizza donated two XLarge Pizza for their last class as a special treat! Thank you Rock n Rogers you are such giving people with big hearts! Thank you so much to the following – The Huff Family Fund for making all these classes possible, The County Foundation, Robyn Cakebread-nourished self for teaching the classes and sharing your expertise, Toni Murphy for always being faithful and volunteering your time with me and thank you Robyn Baranyai for volunteering tonight and being there to ensure the last class ran smoothly, Prince Edward Learning Centre who partnered with us this year, The County of Prince Edward for use of the kitchen and the Arena staff for all you did to help us with setup and ensuring everything was ready for us.
