Here's the latest updates from StoreHouse Foodbank

On Friday, Dec 20, The Dukes partnered with the PEC Kings Minor Hockey. Attendees received tickets for a prize draw in exchange for a non perishable donation for the food bank. Volunteer Robert Kilbreath is with Charlene Cruickshank and members of the team. They collected about $800 in groceries and $113 in cash donations! Bravo, way to go! Thanks for thinking of others and for making a difference in their lives. We are grateful for your support!

St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Wellington donated an abundance of handknit items valued at about $2000! We were the lucky recipient of 12 lap robes, 13 prs of socks/slippers, 2 shawls, 31 hats, 5 scarves, 6 dolls, 7 sets, and 76 prs of mittens! Amazing! Thanks for all your time and hard work! These beautiful items are made with love for others in our community! What a blessing!

We are so grateful to Lori Foster and her team at The Dressing Room in Rossmore for organizing a toiletry drive for our food bank. The community was very generous and we received $1000 worth of toiletries for our families! Thanks for all your support Lori and for making a difference in our community!

Christine Dimitris of the Hillier Recreation Committee donated $200 in gifts for the children this Christmas. Thanks for thinking of others this holiday season and for helping us make a difference!

Food to Share volunteers Paul, Jim, Cheryl and Reid made baked ham with apple raisin sauce, scalloped potatoes and green beans for the Wellington food bank. Thanks Food to Share volunteers and thanks to the County of PEC for letting use the Wellington arena kitchen.
