Here's the latest updates from StoreHouse Foodbank

Thank you to GlobalMedic for the donation of rice, chick peas and lentils. United Way Hastings & Prince Edward was a key partner in organizing the distribution. We received 3 cases of each item. Lawrence Northway, volunteer, picked up the items from Liz McLennan, administrative coordinator, UWHPE. Thanks for supporting our community!

Kente Public School in Ameliasburgh organized a Holiday Food Drive for the food bank. They collected crackers, chocolate, canned fruit and vegetables, hot chocolate and more! Thanks to teacher Jenn Walmsley for coordinating the fundraiser and for the generous support from students and families. Thanks for helping us make a difference in our community this Christmas!  

Christine Rutter of Exit Realty sponsored The Dukes Food Drive on Nov 29th, and generously agreed to match the monetary donations up to $1000! Thanks for being so kind-hearted and for helping us make a difference in our community!  

  1. On December 14th-15th, Pierson’s Foodland in Wellington will match donations to the Wellington Storehouse Food Bank. Thanks for your support!

Thank you to St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church in Picton for their generosity! We received $500 in food donations from their Advent Food Bank Sharing event, and $300 worth of beautiful, hand-knitted items. We are blessed to live in such a caring and giving community!

On Saturday, Nov 30, The Midtown Christmas Market raised $670 for the food bank, and collected $150 in food donations. Thanks for helping us make the season “Merry and Bright” for families in our community. 

OPEN WEDNESDAYS for All clients 10am-12pm and again 1pm -3pm.
Donations accepted Wednesdays 9-3pm or by appointment.
