Thank you to everyone who donated to the Wellington Royal Canadian Legion Branch 160 Easter Hamper Food Drive for our foodbank! We really appreciate everything you do and for making such a difference in our community!

Adult Cooking Classes

Tuesday night was the first night for the 8 week Adult Cooking Class, it was amazing and a lot of fun! We have a great group of adults taking the course, very eager to learn! Tonight they made Beef and Bean Minestrone Soup. Thank you Robyn for your sharing your expertise with the class! Thank you to Lori Farrington and Jennifer Hunter from Prince Edward Learning for all your help, Storehouse Foodbank volunteer Toni Beaudrie for helping me with everything.

Thank You to Nyman Farms who collected food and $220 for our Foodbank and the Picton’s Foodbank at their Maple in the County event. We thank you for making a difference to others in our communities!

Thank you so much to the Food to Share volunteers for the 50 meals made today – spicy chicken with sweet and tangy honey glaze, roasted potatoes, turnip and butternut squash! Lots of great comments came back, they found them so delicious! Thank you Becky Mcfaul our foodbank volunteer for delivering them all! Thank you Wellington Legion for donating the use of your facility! You are all making such a difference to others in our community!

Thankyou to all the hard working volunteers from Food to Share who made 47 Pork and Bean Stew meals, which were picked up and delivered by Storehouse Foodbank volunteer Becky McFaul today. Food to Share also peeled and sliced 5 bushels of apples – making 104 containers of apple crisp to be frozen and distributed in the Storehouse Easter hampers. Wow you guys were very busy today, such a very productive day! We can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and for everything you do to help others in our community!

Thank you everyone who came out and supported our Cram the Cruiser Easter Fundraiser! We got about 230 bags of groceries! Thank you to Wellington’s Councillor Mike Harper for your support in our fight against hunger! Thank you OPP Matthew Brinklow, students – Nathan Steen, Lucas Algar, Matthew Vincent, foodbank volunteers Cynthia Riordon, Lisa Marquardt for all your hard work in making this event so successful! Thank you to volunteers Becky McFaul, Bill Mitchell, Michael Hoy and Chantal Jeffrey for helping us unload the cruiser and putting away all the groceries. And a great big thank you to the public for all your support and for making such a difference to others in our community!
